DENT DU GEANT

The Dent du Géant, also known as the Giant's Tooth, is a striking peak situated in the Mont Blanc massif on the border between Italy and France. Standing at 4,013 meters (13,163 feet), climbing the Dent du Géant is a challenging and rewarding alpine endeavor. This impressive peak is proudly visible from almost any vantage point in the Mont Blanc range.

The climb usually begins at the Torino Hut on the Italian side of the range.

The standard route is the Southwest Face, which involves glacier travel and technical rock climbing over mixed terrain. The upper section of the face proper is equipped with multiple sections of 'fixed' lines, making it an excellent outing for training towards other objectives, such as the Matterhorn.
