AUGUILLES D’ENTREVES
The departure is from the Pointe Helbronner (3462m), reached by the Sky Way cable car in the Val d’Aosta, Italy, the Aiguilles d'Entrèves traverse (3600m) is a fun and varied mixed ridge route within the majestic setting of the Glacier du Géant. The traverse that takes place along the French Italian border begins at the Col d´Entrèves (3527m) reached by a magnificent glacier hike in the heart of the Mont Blanc massif. The traverse of the Aiguilles d'Entrèves is a combination of rocky terrain, short sections of climbing and abseiling. The final ridge leading to the summit has a few aerial passages, a great way to show off your balancing skills! Depending on the snow conditions, crampons may be required. You will return by the same route to the Pointe Helbronner. Throughout the day you have an absolutely magnificent view of the Tour Ronde and the South face of the Mont Blanc.
The Aiguilles d'Entrèves traverse is an alternative to the Cosmiques arete or the Pointes Lachenal. It is for people wishing to learn about mixed ridge routes and requires previous rock climbing experience: ability to climb French grade 4a minimum.
